What is a QR Code?
A
QR code (Quick Response code) is a two-dimensional barcode that stores information
such as text or URLs. QR codes are designed to be quickly read by smartphones and scanners.
How QR Codes Work:
- Data Encoding: Black and white squares encode data; more data means a denser grid.
- Error Correction: Built-in error correction lets codes be read even if
partially damaged (L, M, Q, H levels).
- Finder Patterns: The three large corner squares help scanners locate and orient the code.
- Versatility: QR codes can store URLs, contact info, Wi-Fi credentials, and more.
How to Use: Open a QR code scanner or your phone's camera, point it at the
code, and follow the prompt (e.g., open a website).
